What do you like the most about it?

I love my Ibanez SR300EB. I like the narrow and smooth neck the most. It’s a joy to play. Also it’s very lightweight, affordable and has a great tone with plenty of options to play around with.

It’s my main bass for practice and gigs and I don’t really feel the need to even try anything else right now. I’ve tried substantially more expensive basses and they didn’t really suit me.

The only thing I don’t like is the active EQ. It’s a passive bass but still needs a battery for the EQ. So you always have to remember to unplug it or it’ll keep draining.

Ibanez has the most comfortable necks I‘ve ever played hands down. My Carvin bass has a similar shape, but I don‘t like it’s sound though.

It’s mine, since it’s the only one I own :-) now if only I were able to play it at least passably… That would be a real game changer !

I rather accidentally bought a cheap five string as a student, so I could only tell you the least favorable bass to play (except for the five strings, which are neat). On the other hand, it was a key to favorable memories.

(Just writing this to give this question a comment. C’mon others! 🥴)

I appreciate your comment! Don‘t worry, it‘s normal for such a small community to be quiet in the beginning. It‘ll take some time, but we‘ll certainly grow I‘m certain.

Thank you! I’m sure you are right. I just wanted to contribute without having anything substantial to say 🙈

Right now my favorite is my franken-p bass. A Squire P body, Fender Aerodyne Jazz neck, and a killer DiMarzio Pickup. The neck is absolute butter. I think the only change i’ll make going forward is switching it over to an active system.

It’s funny how different people are. While @theonlytruemupf wants to get rid of his active system, you desire one. I play an active Warwick Thumb and love it as well. I don’t like the preamp in my Carvin though. I would love to see your Frankenbass!

Exactly! I’ve gone back and forth over the years but am missing the onboard control. The different preamps certainly matter. I don’t have any experience with carvin ones but Warwick definitely knows what they’re doing! I’ll get some pics up soon.
