The assembling of a phonograph cylinder is a most delicate art. One must commence with a vigorous air to seize the lady’s attention. Thereafter, proceed to a tender ballad that appeals to her heart… and at the last, insert a spirited Sousa march, that she may know you are not all solemnity and sighs.
You bet I did…

I had the exact same one!!
I have one with the Violent Femmes and The Replacements on it.
Tomorrow, I’ll share it on [email protected].
Those were cool! But you could only get the cheapies, no chrome or metal cassettes.
Yeah, I mean - heh - sure, if you didn’t care about sound quality heh heh heh.
Now some gold Maxell II Epitaxial - ho ho! Now you’re talkin’ some crisp highs, smooth midrange, and a commanding but not over-present bass! Just as Thomas Dolby intended.
And just like earbuds you stick that high end cassette in your cheap ass car stereo with cardboard woofers.
Just make sure you press that Dolby button
I had a bunch of these! Awesome design, loved it.
I had a few. I used whatever tape I could get. Think my fondest memory as a teen was tapping the Howard Stern Show. I was a weird teenager.
I had so many Nirvana bootlegs on these things. :,)
And I couldn’t tell if it was live, or if it was… …
That design is about as 1990 as you can get
I was just trying to remember all the songs I had in the best mix tape ever in one of those.
Yep
I was a TDK man myself.
