With the recent Reddit shit show forcing users to move to Lemmy or similars thus old Internet making a comeback and now seeing this in my YT feed? This seems surreal!

Haha thanks for sharing! I just watched the video now, if it’s anything like their old videos I fear I’ll have outgrown the humour though.

Omg I started watching Smosh with Food Battle 2008 and Sex Ed Rocks. I stopped watching them when Anthony left, so I’m excited to see what they come out with.

Just saw this in my YouTube feed and it feels insane. It’s been so long since I’ve seen the two of them that I barely recognized them. I’m getting so nostalgic now… I’m happy for them and will definitely be seeing what they have in store.

Who are Smosh? I never heard of this channel, but judging by your reaction they must’ve been pretty popular!

They were THE most popular YouTube channel before PewDiePie. I think it was the late 2000’s when they peaked at popularity. They sold the company in ~2011 and it slowly deteriorated. By ~2014 people barely watched or mentioned them. Now they’re back!

You should watch their old videos. It’s quite the time capsule.

They were very popular with their sketches although even when they started to create tons of content once they sold it to the company it was more like a quantity over quality kind of content.

That and other reasons made one of the two main creators to take his path away from Smosh, not many people liked Smosh without him (Anthony), but now that they are back to its roots we are gonna see if they can survive the past of time I guess, so far it seems like they will!

This is a very briefed version of the channel, I encourage you to give it a look and get a clearer idea of them.

Yeah, if they go literally back on their roots it there’s gonna be divided opinions for sure, honestly at this point I’m excited about whatever outcome arise from this two guys lol.

I still love the Smosh movie, good old dumb juvenile humor.

Interesting — I had heard when Mythical Entertainment (Rhett+Link/GMM) bought them a few years ago. I’ve never watched them personally, but good for them!

Yeah, honestly I’m very intrigued if its content will survive the past of time, seems like it will based on their huge fanbase!
