Very likely that’s not the case. This is a common occurrence in people with PTSD, where due to the abnormal levels of stress hormones which the body normally produces in extremely stressful situations in order to trigger a “fight or flight” response.
That’s why you have a lot of people with PTSD wake up with this sort of panic reactions, or similarly react to other stimuli (fireworks, thunder, etc)That makes sense. Thanks.
kinda dickish thing to do, IMO. I hope it was satisfactorily resolved.
