I bet if there are plans for that, they are far in the future, like years from now. The issues list for Lemmy is really long right now.
The good news for open source projects is that you can hope that maybe someone else will take it upon themselves to integrate that functionality in here. It only takes one person who knows Rust, has the free time, and thinks that would be useful.
It’s federated twitter like Mastodon (afaik)
It doesn’t currently. Not sure about the future, but you could make an account on Mastodon and link to it in your Lemmy profile. Not the same, I know.
Yes, it isn’t the same but maybe I’ll make one in the future. After all, it was the same with Reddit and Twitter
