anyone who says they’re an attitude era kid never went through the pain of flipping to raw during nitros commercial break with the sound down because it was entirely too cringe and embarrassing and you’d probably never be able to watch tv again if your parents caught you.
I remember the first Val Venis vignette playing and my mom heard it from the other room and asked with concern what I was watching. I had to explain it was a new wrestler debuting.
I take back my previous comment I did turn the tv down a bit when Val showed up, for numerous reasons lol.
I was lucky enough to have a tv in my room and horrible parents so full volume it was!
I had to basically sneak wrestling in when I could because my parents hated it. Plus only one TV. Also that was when we actually had cable which was not a constant.
I wish I was 30!
