Thats how you know that it really all just is a game for them.
They don’t care about spending the money as long as they feel like they are winning.
Its not about just their current taxes. Its about systemic change that democratic socialists gaining a foothold might create. The very wealthy would be made to pay for social programs and this would cause them to lose some of the obscene wealth they’ve hoarded.
At this point, spending some money to prevent this from happening is just financial risk management. It’s their fiduciary duty.

It is also about power. Why do you think so many of them may be on the Epstein files? They want to subjugate people, to abuse people. They want to get to the point where, to survive, some will have to sell/rent their children that will be… well… you’ll get it.
Also important to note that Donald is bribing Adams and Sliwa with cushy, lucrative federal jobs if they drop out of the race. (And, while not specified, I just assume they’d be required to endorse Andrew Cuomo as well.)
It really shows you how corrupt people are in both parties that no one has tried taxing the billionaires and improving people’s lives, it’s working and it’s making news.
