We have 2 cats. One will bully the other off of the wet food, so we have to lock her in the basement to feed the two separately, and let her out after like 20 minutes.
My wife and j have referred to it as “freeing the beast”. As I walk over to the door to open it, hearing her meows from below, I like to give a dramatic monologue. “The time has come to break the seal, to unleash the insatiable hunger our predecessors sealed long ago”. The little things that give life a bit more spice.
I usually go with “appease the overlord”
Empowering the Chosen One
- prophetic
- religious overtones
- spiritual
“placate the huntress”
“The beast has awakened! Quickly, place out our offering lest we are devoured by its insatiable hunger!”
Calling the Omnigods “beasts” is a peculiar choice. I reckon we shall readily determine the level of Their benevolence forthwith.
Feed the savages - it gives you the false feeling of superiority, but deep down you know that if you die and nobody finds you they will start eating you after like 2 days.
We say “giblet the baby”. After our first cat got really into a cat food “with giblets” we started referring to any of her food as giblets, mostly so we could say the word giblets a lot. Eventually it came to mean all food when used as a noun and to feed as a verb.
We call them “the two idiots”, and when we ask each other we say “have you fed the idiots?”
