This update will add the option to show upvotes and downvotes. This turned out to be a pretty big change so I’m going to make this the entire release.
This update will also fix some misc. issues.
Changes so far:
- Added setting to show upvotes and downvotes separately.
- Fixed Animated GIFs in posts/comment bodies. GIFs in these places will auto-play on load.
- Fixed a bug where you are sometimes randomly scrolled to the top of the post list.
- Updated post/comment scores to change colors based on vote.
- Added another way to add bookmarks to make the feature easier to find.
- Changed “add link” button in post/comment composer. If text is selected before tapping on “add link”, the “Add link” dialog will prefill with the selected text.
Update
Sending v1.6.2 to the play store. Been testing this update for a while now and everything feels really good. Haven’t noticed any bugs yet. The client has never felt this bug-free before. Hopefully I can keep it this way :)
Since your working on the votes, a couple requests:
- Can you make the “gesture” color for up/down vote match the color of the customized up/down color. I changed upvote to “green” and it looks funny to swipe and get the “red” gesture but then the “green”.
- In addition to coloring the arrow, can you color the vote number with the color too to make it stand out a bit more.

May I give you two more suggestions?
Swap instance and user names on the feeds (I mean the order, I think it is more useful to watch first from what instance the posts comes from than the user who posted it).
Show instance names on user’s comments similar to the past suggestion… to keep things comprehensive regarding who we are talking to.
Yeah I forgot to make these changes. I’ll probably update the style to show the instance if they are not from your instance otherwise the instance will be hidden. I’ll add it to the roadmap just in case I don’t get to it this update.
