We are still fleshing out this experience . As a multi-platform client handling certain features isn’t easy. For example, Mastodon doesn’t offer DMs/Group chat. Bluesky offers DMs but not group chats and it’s very limited. It goes without saying that we are implementing the necessary API’s/endpoints to be as compliant as possible while also offering a reasonable experience for users not using our client; we don’t want to break expectations.

Unique features we are currently working on; E2EE encryption using Signal protocol, group messaging, voice notes and typing indicators.

These may not seem difficult but they aren’t trivial and require thoughtfulness especially the typing indicators. We have recently successfully implemented the voice notes feature. As previously mentioned we desire a strong positive experience for people even those on the other end that may be using different clients. Thus, we regularly check our implementations against other clients to understand what other user’s experience may be like on the other end of a feature and we are looking to provide sensible solutions.
