            Interesting, that article suggests that the hide would not be tanned, so panel 2 would not be accurate.

              Stretching and drying isn’t tanning though right? Tanning would involve sitting the skins in a tanning solution I believe

          Looks like vellum is either calfskin, or just of higher quality. I think I’ve heard vellum used to describe high quality copy paper. Either way, fun things to learn!
