Btw, the wikipedia page for the PETM is a very interesting one. It’s the most recent climate heating event in history with lots of data to learn from, but there’s also a lot of factors we’re not sure about in how they affected each other. But reading through all of what we do know sounds eerily familiar to all the headlines about our current climate’s predicament. It’s the ultimate “we didn’t learn from the past”.
