I’m liking the newer art style. Different enough from what we’ve had from all the NSMB games

I’m digging the style as well. It’s good that not all games look alike.

Yeap. It looks great and different, but not so much so that I’m concerned.

I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of these games to be honest.

Same. My wife isn’t much of a gamer but NSMB Wii and NSMBU are some of the only games we’ll play together and really enjoy. I think I’d actually pay for subscription DLC for a NSMB-style game if it gave you a few new levels to play through every month or two.

I hoped Mario Maker 2’s user-generated content would feel like that, but the levels were so small and puzzle-focused that it really didn’t work.

Good. Mario games remind me of playgrounds, and as an adult it’s difficult to motivate myself to visit on to slide down the slide, play on the monkey bars or ride the Merry-Go-Round. I’m out of shape and fat, likely to have police called on me by concerned parents/onlookers. Mario games are virtual playgrounds for kids of all ages.

My first Mario game was Mario Kart DS when I was 4, that was 18 years ago now and I’m not going anywhere when it comes to Mario.

I love how well designed the characters look. After so many Mario games using similar models, it’s great to see fun animations and creative liberties for these characters. Gameplay looks awesome and super fun as well. New Super Mario Bros was a blast and here’s hoping this one is too. Day 1 buy.

Loved the scene where Mario enters the pipe but loses his hat and quickly grabs it. The flowers seem pretty funny and entertaining too. Definitely feels like there is a lot more love and attention invested in this one!

Wasn’t expecting to be impressed by a 2D Mario game after New Super Mario Bros. 2 and U. Really excited for this game.

The game has a lot of the modern Rayman 2D games’ energy. The flowers commenting on what is happening, the musical elements, the generally trippiness.
    This looks great.

Finally, a new Art-Style. It’s awesome how animated the Characters are. Mario looking outside the Pipe, holding his hat etc.

As someone who enjoyed the “New Super Mario Bros.” games, this looks absolutely fantastic. 2D Mario has always been my favorite, so I’m super pumped to see something new that’s not “New”. Even though I enjoyed the “New” I think it’s time to move away from “New” to new. Ya know?

Yeah, at first I didn’t like the new style, but as the trailer went on I started to like it more and more. It’s a refreshing update, but it almost reminds me of the style of the older games too in some ways

Only thing I don’t like is the voice-acted talking flowers. I don’t need a voice to pop up and go “wow this is weird and wacky” when something weird and wacky happens.

I’m also definitely not a fan of all of the words popping up on screen either. Aside from those two aspects the game looks phenomenal.

I agree, I’ll be turning the voice lines off if I can, hearing spoken word feels a bit off in Mario Games, unless its a song like in Odyssey.

Playable Daisy temporarily cured my depression so glad that Daisy is playable in a mainline game (the drugs probably helped) and i think Yoshi is as well cause at 2:00 all 4 are Yoshis and I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re the easy character like Toadette or Nabbit with a flutter that they normally have 1:46.

It seems you have to take LSD to get the collectables so do drugs kids?
