I don’t think most people appreciate just how many Americans would gladly get rid of gay marriage, no-fault divorce, and contraception if they could. Criminalizing homosexuality and transexuality, tearing up the voting rights and civil rights acts, title IX, consumer protections, all forms of welfare… Overturning Roe opened the gates to hell as far as reversing our entire history of civil rights gains and if we don’t all get united around stopping it, The Handmaid’s Tale is going to join Idiocracy as one of the most prescient pieces of media of our times.
