In America, you could be an immigrant child, defend yourself against a bully, then school admins blame you, calls cops on you, you get arrested for self-defence, then this admin will deport you.

Doesn’t matter if you have been here since 1 month old. Like, you could be deported to a country you’ve have zero memories of.

What the fuck?!?

The above is a hypothetical situation, but is is based on my personal experience. I was involved in a fight im school and I excersied self-defence. I was 17, about the same age as the teen in this article. And the fight happend during the lunch period. This article triggers so much of those memories.

For me, it happened under trump term 1.

Luckily, when a parent naturalizes, all their kids under 18 with Legal Permanent Resident status are automatically become citizens. So that’s why I was safe at the time. (Remember, you cannot naturalize until you become 18, so a parent becoming citizen was the only way for a minor to gain citizenship status if they weren’t born here)

Imagine the alternate timeline where I wasn’t a citizen. Who knows could’ve happened. Term 1 trump might issue an ICE detainer just for their amusement.
