    YSK that these apparatus often have a small hole on the pointy end to through which you can thread a piece of string anchored to a handy nearby organ, all of which is accessed through the autopsy incision 😀

    I’ve referenced this on lemmy before, but this makes me think of a semi horror novel I read as a kid. In the novel, a character comes back to life after dying, mentioning the fact that after you die, you maintain awareness of the status of your body. She mentions especially that her autopsy was very upsetting.

    I wonder what she’d think of this.
