Hi,

I have an e-bike, and I am looking to do a longer trip with it, that will require charging it several times. I’ve been looking for a map of charging stations, but haven’t found any. Most maps seem to be for cars instead. Is there anything available?

Thanks!

https://www.e-mobile.ch/de/oeffentliche-ladestation-finden/ has a map, and so does the app from bikester. The SchweizMobil app also has some charging stations, though they are hidden among other service facilities.

However, you usually don’t need charging stations. Do a lunch break (or a coffee break, beer break, ice cream break, …) at a restaurant, cafe, bar and ask nicely if you can charge your battery while you’re there. I tried that dozens of times, with a 100% success rate.

      Thanks for your answer!

I find it hard to find bike charging stations from these sites that seem to focus on electric cars. And I haven’t been able to find that bikester app, would you have a link?

That’s great advice! Thanks a lot.

Do you plan to stay at an hotel/hostel or homestay? Maybe you could ask there if it would be possible to charge your e-bike. Since i do not drive an EV, it may be possible at some EV / gas stations as well, but this is just a guess.

I’m sure this would work, but I’m only planning a day trip. Actually, maybe the charge will hold, but I’d like to have options if it doesn’t…

I’m guessing that too, but it would be great to know without having to call…

I understand. I guess one way would be to bring s spare battery with you. I can imagine, that a lot of restaurants and maybe gas stations would be happy to help, if you’re in trouble of running out of battery power.

Also, i found this site, which seems to have some info on EV stations, were you can filter the power plug type, maybe it helps evpass.ch
