Outing myself as a casual here, but after I heard this I tried a bunch of other Carcass albums and this is still my favorite. It’s on a major label if I’m not mistaken, so the Indie snob in me is grumbling.
Surgical Steel is very similar and quite good.I still love Necroticism… and Symphonies of Sickness the most I think, but Heartwork and Surgical Steel are also quite bangers (and more relevant to this particular community). ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
Such a formative album for the genre! Gawd and the riffs in No Love Lost forever live rent-free in my head.
