This is driving me nuts. My wife and I are watching The Office. I’ve purchased the whole series through Apple. Every once in a while I go in to continue watching and rather than just playing it from the only place I’ve ever watched it it instead decides to open it in the Peacock app. I’ve never watched The Office in the Peacock app. Then to continue I have to find it in my library and scroll to the episode I’m watching.

Anyone else have this issue?

Totally. Doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason. I also don’t understand why skip intro isn’t a thing on purchased shows? Uninstalling the streaming services would work but isn’t really a good solution because what about when someone wants to watch a show that isn’t purchased? And just to heap on, I also really dislike when I’m in TV search and am redirected to something like the Prime video tier that has adds. That’s a serious wtf!? issue, especially for a services I pay for. I would like to disallow any service that has ads and I’d like it to prefer purchased content. Seems like a couple of easy toggle switches in settings.

I agree. I feel like this must not be a product that anyone that makes decisions at Apple actually uses. I imagine there’s a big part of they get and have access to everything for free that they don’t ever come across these issues themselves.

Uninstall the peacock app? What device are you using?

I could, but I feel like that shouldn’t be the solution. I’m using the original AppleTV 4K.
