In Chess, Checkers, etc, movement of pieces matters, but in Go it’s the placement. Stones glow as they are placed, emphasizing this (traditionally the sound of the stone clicking on the board plays this role). The stone’s glow also hints at its influence on surrounding spaces.

Does it calculate score? A live updating score would be cool
No it’s not that smart :) come to think of it, not sure how to accurately calculate score while a game is in progress
I wonder if OGS or FOX has an API for their scoring estimator or something like that.
I didn’t even know that’s a thing. But the circuitry isn’t sophisticated enough. It’s just an induction coil.
