Yes but with Gundogan leaving and Bernardo Silva possibly leaving, they would have space for him to start. I just hope our groundwork with him is enough to get him to Arsenal.
No Rice in the claypot but I’m like meh. I think I’m a bit more frustrated that our main target deals are very difficult to get over the line rarher than we cannot get a specific player. I am a bit in awe that some clubs get deals done without too much noise.
Liverpool seem the best at this. They move in silence and you only really hear about the deal when its about to be done. We have been doing that off late with Fabio Vieira last summer and hopefully Timber this summer.
I wonder how Liverpool make sure even the counterparty aren’t leaking stuff. I get the feeling that a lot of the stuff coming out in relation to us is from the other team/player’s camp
I think it’s about whether or not the opposite camp respects us enough. I do feel like most of the time we are being used as bait. It’s like Rice and West Ham…Mudpuppy and Shakhtar, it’s obvious they don’t want to sell.
Most of the time it’s like buying a house, come in with a mortgage or the other guy comes in with cash in full right off the bat. Who would you pick as an owner?
If the media is to be believed, we’re really getting rid of our first team midfield in Xhaka and Partey and replacing them with Rice and Havertz… I’m both worried and super duper excited to see what happens!
From what I understand, selling Partey would mean another midfielder (like Lavia or maybe Caicedo?)

It feels like West Ham knew Man City would come knocking too, especially with how fast our bids were rejected. We were always going to have to bid against City for Rice.
