Ha, I guess this is now a classic album… Well shit. This was the album that turned me onto Trivium. To this day it’s still one of my favorite metalcore albums. The perfect amount of heavy, groove, and angst. My favorite track has always been “A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation.”
This album may be a certified banger, but Shogun is still my favorite Trivium album. It’s a mandatory listen for all metalcore fans IMO.

My first concert! Well, my first regular concert. I dated someone whose parents took me to see Eric Clapton but the stadium was so big I could hardly see him, and I didn’t know almost any of his songs anyway. Trivium and Unearth tore it up, my first pits, and I could actually go up near the stage and see them perform!
