Are you suggesting Gramsci is a bad read?
I just reposted it 'cause I thought it seemed funny. I unfortunately don’t know enough Gramsci to have an opinion! What’s a good place to start?
Definitely get a secondary analysis of Prison Writings. Otherwise it’s a lot of trying to decipher that wordy 19th century language. That’s on top of Gramsci having to use a lot of code words because he was writing it as basically a political prisoner, and had to get it past the guards and to his wife.
