With “Have Your Say” I always wonder if there really is some value to just a rando scribbling a few sentences. I know that officially and by the way the description of HYS is worded, that is the point - so everyone can voice their stand. But when once my few sentences stood next to a few pages of analysis done as a working hours task, with graphs etc, it felt kind of small. And writing more than half of A4 has always been nigh impossible for me
One person’s text alone – almost surely no effect.
However, it is actually even common that political decisions are affected by a large amount of people voicing some kind of an opinion. The important thing is that as many people as possible voice their opinion. Their own opinion, in their own words. Whatever common denominators can be recognized in those opinions, start to really gain significance.
