Arne Slot and Mikel Arteta have defended Gabriel Martinelli after the Arsenal forward sparked a skirmish by trying to roll an injured Conor Bradley off the pitch

Second, it’s not odd to see pundits criticizing players (right or wrong). But it’s unusual to see managers of opposing teams defend a player accused of wrecklessness (in this case Martinelli).

There’s some chatter that Nwaneri might be leaving this summer, unless he gets a lot more game time (which he won’t). But he doesn’t want to leave right now because he feels the experience of being in a title challenging team is very valuable.
