Hollywood studios can get fucked. Fuck them and their disgusting industry. The writers are only asking to not allow AI written movies. That’s it. They are basically not being paid for writing now, because if AI is allowed then they won’t be paid to write in the future.

The writers are asking for a few other things too, but they are reasonable things like no more mini writers rooms and better residuals from streaming. More importantly, they actually did the math and it would cost the studios a fraction of one percent to give them what they want.

Correction, the STUDIOS causing the strikes to cost the US economy $5 billion-plus amid lost wages, film delays. This is on them, not the writers or the actors. Just sign the fucking contracts so everyone can get back to work! ✊

Exactly! The studios could end this now by simply actually coming to the table. But they’ve decided a fraction of a percent of their profit is more important than giving people the fair wages they earned.

That’s a funny way of spelling “corporate greed.”

Right?! I’m like, if the workers actually get fair pay at the end of the day, then it’s easily worth 1000x more damage to the economy.

I’m tired of this fucking thing we’ve all collectively worked on to build called the US economy only producing a handful of billionaires and shitting on everyone else. It’s high time the bottom rung on these ladders gets something other than the nonexistent trickle down.
