Look, I supported her and voted for her. I gave her leeway for not doing more and not saying more, because the VP doesn’t actually have much power and is expected to support the President’s policies. I also understood that we have treaties and international agreements we need to fulfill.

But fuck her coming back and saying the administration she was part of should have done more instead of saying “I should have done more.” Take responsibility and ownership. This sounds more like “if we had chosen a different side I might have won,” instead of “I’ve learned that my choices were bad and I apologize for not making better decisions.”

Calling ICE on a person who is just living their life trying to work hard and get ahead is what racist shit stains jump to. Calling ICE on a person who is acting criminally and SHOULD have their visa revoked is a viable option.

Now, I haven’t read the texts or heard the phone calls and have no idea if this woman was stalking him or if he is a racist jackass who is sexually harassing her. Threatening to call ICE on her might have been a real shitstain thing to do. But Immigration enforcement against non-citizens actively committing crimes is what every other country in the world does. It’s not racist just because it happens in America.

I would recommend Eyes of the Dragon, The Institute, The Talisman, Fairy Tale, and some of the short story and novella collections. I don’t think you should worry about what is representative of King but what is relatable and good reading for an 11 year old.

I would recommend against Pet Semetary. I read it at around 11 or 12 and was very disturbed by it.

I’m gonna recommend against Pet Semetary for a kid. It was my first King book when I was 11 or 12, and I had to put it down. It was so disturbing and not fully comprehensible for me at the time. Not only did I not like it, but I couldn’t finish it.

Rosen and Kaine have not announced retirement, so they are interesting. Rosen just won a very close race in Nevada, so she either tried to appease conservative voters there or thinks she is gone anyway. No idea what Kaine is thinking.

I felt dirty voting for it, since I feel strongly against gerrymandering and was happy that CA HAD a law against it; but I also felt it was something I had to do.

This is nothing new or fake. There is no need to use the word “claim” like you think he is lying. I personally have a friend who spent like $50,000 or $100,000 to clone one of her dogs… twice.

Just finished Emberdark and started The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. Only a few pages in, but I already like the writing style and the tone of the story.
