Danny addresses the topic of the upcoming wipe.
He points out that CIG has 3 different kinds of wipes that can all be performed independently:
- aUEC
- Inventory
- Reputation
He suspects that CIG will most likely only wipe aUEC and Inventory.
He suggests playing for:
- Reputation - to be able to earn aUEC quickly after the wipe.
- Skilz - To improve your own skills.
- Team Skilz - To get better with team gameplay.
- Testz - For example, testing a C2 as a mining base with Golems.
- Lolz - Just play for fun.
While we know there will be a wipe eventually, there’s still no information on When. There is and has been a lot of speculation on when that will be. Everything from “Wipe tomorrow guyz” to “Not until 1.0” gets floated just about every day. If you’re limiting your play in anticipation of an uncertain wipe, then, you may be hamstringing yourself for months with no end in sight.
Do what is fun. If earning credits is what is fun for you, do that. It will still be fun after a wipe. If you find you’re playing the game in a way that isn’t fun, because you’re worried about some eventual wipe someday, then close the game and go touch grass.
