Like is it already so bad they may as well burn it, or does that clearly make it worse, but at least protect them from things like fingerprints.
They are doing a lot of stupid things to leave evidence but the crux of the matter is at least they are doing something.
Doing something in a way that is guaranteed to get everyone caught is not good. Literally, nothing positive was accomplished by these people doing this. The Feds might have even left the vehicle there and had someone in the crowd bait the mob into looting it, just to get this video created so they can turn public opinion against the protests.
