I still can barely tell them apart. Probably my biggest gripe about Teslas is the fact that they all look the same.
“a customer can have a car painted any colour he wants as long as it’s black”.
Deleted stalks on the steering column, much as in the Model S and X, with the gear selector now on the touchscreen and turn signal buttons on the left side of the steering wheel
Definitely an interesting design choice with no physical gear changer and adding an extra screen on the passenger side.
I’m not a fan of this change
The turn signal stalk is muscle memory from every car ever, and can be operated without taking the hands of the wheel, even while turning the wheel.
And in general I don’t want vehicle controls on the touchscreen. Yes you only use the “gear” selector while stationary, but it’s such a core vehicle control it should have a dedicated physical input
Hard agree. Hitting turn signals easily no matter how the wheel is oriented is important. And I hate using the touch screen on the model 3, mainly because the UX is just bad. Why do I have to go through multiple screens to put my car in carwash mode? I’m sure they’ll make it an obvious, permanent button or something. But just not a fan.
Both these moves feel like they’re “the human isn’t driving anyways” oriented. But FSD is no where near ready for prime time, can’t believe people are still paying for it
These dicks definitely live in California. Capacitive touch gloves in a safety-sensitive scenario, or trying to rock a car out of a snow drift? You’re gonna have a bad time…
I have FSD beta (bought when EAP was a thing, and then they had a fire sale so picked it up for under $2k) and while excellent for road trips, the functionality I trust it to use is almost entirely included out of the box now. In town it drives like a drunk teenager who is falling asleep.
less bulbous front end
Literally the second worst thing about the model 3 was that bulbous nose. Good to see it’s changing.
This thing is fugly.
Looks much more generic, while at the same time looking better. Strange how they’ve taken away that fugly bulbous nose that it had, but in doing so, it now looks like a generic EV from a video game or movie.
That interior looks awful though.
