I don’t know much about reddit corporate structure, or how corporate works in full honesty. My understanding is that there are 2 alive founders, and spez is the CEO. Where is Alexis in all of this? Or does he not have a say?
Alexis stepped back from leading the company in 2018, and down from Reddit’s board in 2020.
Someone who’s more informed than me, please chime in.
As I understand it Alexis stepped away from the board(?) of reddit in 2020. Supposedly in protest after George Floyd was murdered. I believe he’s just your standard “Hey look, I’m woke too!” venture capitalist nowadays. Likely still heavily invested in reddit, seeing as I don’t think he’s spoken out on the controversy lately.
He caught a lot of heat for firing Victoria back in 2015 iirc.
Most of what I saw about him was from his own website so take it all with a huge grain of salt.

Although as much as I hate to give props to a rich guy, he does put on a much better Real Human act than spez, Musk, or Zuc.
He’s definitely putt on the act. Never forget this email from Stratfor showing that Ohanian was meeting with them in regards to Ohanian’s business Antique Jetpack. Why would you be meeting up with Stratfor of all people for a fucking marketing campaign.
Your link is giving me a 505 error just heads up.
But I must have missed that story so I googled it, hardly anything came up besides stuff on his and Serena’s relationship. Makes you wonder if somebody’s trying to scrub that story.
Not sure how reliable Mint Press News is but this article was interesting. Dude’s sketchy for sure.
The dude took the money and also married money (having married tennis player Serena Williams). Aside for rarely posting comments, I don’t think he has anything to do with Reddit anymore.
Was also seeing many people on Reddit theorizing that Spez was the puppet of the Board, and that they are the ones orchestrating hammering through the changes and direction. Like Spez is the Vader to the Board’s Palpatine.
