I’ll kick it off: Lesotho group 80 (Community Health and Economic Development) from 2013-2015
- Some of the grassroots projects I started in my village are still functioning today. By that metric it was certainly successful.
- I didn’t even know what Lesotho was when I got my invite. Needless to say, it’s an absolutely beautiful part of the world and I consider it a 2nd home now.
- Almost daily. I have two very close friends and we keep in touch on Whatsapp. I also returned in 2019 for a vacation/reunion and plan to do so every 5 years.
Basotho ba ntate ba morena Moshoeshoe!
@Lowburn I wish I had a picture of them, I got Texas Instruments to donate 25 of the first solar powered calculators to my school. They came through diplomatic pouch. Also a small science lab and library funded by a women’s group. My site was chosen to host a delegation of women attending the NGO conference in Nairobi. Good times. But, there were some spooky times as well.
