At least with uBlock origin using bunch of filters I didn’t see any ads, the only indicator of the was a bit larger gaps in text where the ads would be.

It WAS much better when I switched to Firefox. Here is what it looked like with Sync internal browser.

Edit: that photo doesn’t even tell half the story. The jump to recipe button didn’t work, because the ads janked up the spacing and every 30 seconds the page would jump around as ads reloaded. Completely unreadable.

Sometimes I feel bad about blocking the ads, because content creators do need to pay the bills and I am depriving them of a revenue stream when I visit. But what the fuck, shit like this just makes it impossible.

Oh that’s interesting, even if I’m using integrated browser in sync, I still don’t get the adds. Seems like the add-ons work even in the itegrated one (I tested this by turning dark reader on).

Maybe your phone uses some different browser by default or something? This is how it looks to me.

I think mine was setup to use Chrome internally. Normally it would have been filtered anyway because I use nextdns to block ads and trackers but somehow I switched my dns to automatic. So mystery solved I think. Put it back on and page is usable.
