The new projects, expected to be announced on Friday, will reverse decisions made by the Adams administration, and help the new mayor fulfill his vow to make buses fast and free in New York.
The more I hear and see of Mamdani, the more I like him. Even his “stunt” with the kids - usually I frown upon bringing kids into politics, but he seemed to be genuinely interested in representing every single New Yorker, regardless of age, and wants to engage with them to better the city.
You see a lot of people talk about revolution and fully changing politics, but in the end you need leadership who actually understand government and how to implement the change you need.
Mamdani is currently showing that he is the kind of leader you would want post revolution. I’m sure he isn’t going to be perfect, but he seems a lot better than the alternatives.
