I have been using chstgpt4 for a project i am working on as well as helping me get myself organized. I also am running a private bot on my computer and am using that as a sort of interactive Journaling tool and a way to release all the chaotic thoughts in my mind. I see great potential for AI to help me and have pretty much I corporated its use into my daily routines. Besides, this technology is fascinating and I may have fallen down the rabbit hole.

It has also been very useful to me. I use it for learning, programming and organizing my thoughts and to-dos. I also ask it for advice if I’m stuck and I have no motivation for something.

And I can definitely relate to falling down the rabbit hole… I even started a Lemmy community about AI…

This is one of the best areas I see for AI, as a helper when I’m feeling a little low on executive function. Lots of drudgery can be zapped away.

Great idea. Although I can definitely see myself screenshotting the responses and never reading them again until I go back later while I’m cleaning out my phone.

How does 3.5 compare? From the times i’ve remembered to use it, it’s a huge help. My problem is I just often don’t get started unless there’s imminent consequences.

3.5 is also really good, but I’ve been using GPT-4 for almost everything since it became available. 3.5 hallucinates more often but I used it a lot before April, and I was really satisfied with it.

So true about the hallucinations. I’ll use bing chat if i’m looking for accuracy and I use chatgpt for most things that i’m brainstorming, can’t get started, or if I want to save time.

For general stuff it’s great. I’ve been using 4 for quite a lot, but I also do a good amount of things that need more accuracy with that version. If I’m just throwing around ideas, 3.5 is fantastic for the speed. Also, 4 with search and plugins is just the bomb diggity. I will never have to plan something myself again. Thank the gods.

How do the plugins help and which ones are the most useful? When I go to the chatgpt page about plugins, it seems like most make shopping or buying things easier which is like the last thing I need honestly.

That specific startup idea sound cringe though Idk it 's more about time investment that my projects don’t get finished right?

If i would put in more hours they would be done products. Idk i’m a programmerand not an ideas guy so the work i’d need to do is quantifiable

    Buttt executive function is hard

I am using it as a virtual assistant in maintaining my to do list. Really helps with the stress I always have, cause otherwise I’m in a perpetual catch 22 - stressed about things I have to do and about forgetting them and then I make lists to keep up with the tasks and then I’m stressed about the productivity aspect. There’s more to the issue and 3.5 is really not that good at giving me the functionality I want (buut i might start tinkering with all the private options soon), but even this gimped version has had some helpful moments to it.
