I think it’s for the best. Most albums are good for only 3 maybe 5 songs anyway and the rest are just filler that used to be difficult to skip (especially with cassette days).
I only buy full albums/EPs if I really love the artist, particularly indie OPM acts, to support them. But for the most part, I just make up a playlist with the songs I like.
Sakin pang collection purposes lang (which I do not do). Ayaw ko kasi ng maraming gamit kaya I appreciate spotify and the other streaming services. Basta maayos lang yung mga natatangap na bayad ng artists.
Pag “best of” yung physical media why not? I still have tapes, cds and vinyl and ripped ones from borrowed albums. Fuck streaming.
