Looks like we’re getting a remix album of the TRON: Ares soundtrack! It features remixes by Boys Noize, Pixel Grip, and Arca, among others.

very interesting… the link above leads to “sign in” pages, but here’s the album on youtube music: https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_kJKIGTmAxeTCsCVRRlH4DpTIFqEf2j27Q

    • “who wants to live forever” still has weak vocals, just distorted… that’s too bad. woulda been great to have a version of that song with a solid singer.
    • the “Pixel Grip remix” of “as alive as you need me to be” is actually a cover! as good as the original.
    • The “Lanex Artefax remix” of “Empathetic Response” is really good.
    • skipping around some more, a lot of these sound interesting, still have to do a careful listen-thru tho.
    • omg I just realized… does this mean Pixel Grip are “Disney creatives” too now?!?

Ah I actually like the vocals on that track. It’s the song I come back to most frequently from the album.

I haven’t actually listened yet! I don’t use any of the services it’s been released on so I’m waiting for a place I can actually purchase a digital copy. But I’m so excited for the Pixel Grip version.

I’m willing to believe that there’s something worthwhile in the vocals of the “who wants to live forever” lady but I just don’t get it. I mean I like Portishead and early New Order, but in this case I’m not feeling it.

Plus every time I see that title it reminds me of the outstanding Queen song, also on a soundtrack. It’s kinda distracting.

I caved and listened to the Pixel Grip version on Youtube. Rita’s voice works so well for this song. It’s fantastic.
