Tried two different cups on two different day. While Costa Rican coffees tend to have a bit of a kick to them, this was bland. Like a bland spice coffee. You need to go deep, like two tea spoons just to make a half decent cup. Either that, or I drink really strong coffee. Either way,I will pass next time.

That said, it’s hard to beat fresh roasted coffee from a local business. When I buy stuff that was roasted within the last week, it’s just stupid good and very flavorful.
No, I’m just experimenting. Not looking for anything in particular. Today I try this tomorrow I try something different and share my opinions and get brew tips. I will definitely look that one up when I am getting more coffee.
Bland? Needs more water contact maybe? Tried pouring slower, grinding finer or both?
Yeah. Not so much success there. The coffee’s profile is just not all that.
