The updated directors cut of TMP really improves that movie. It remains my favorite Trek film, with ST II: WoK a close second.

This doesn’t seem to be offered in Canada.

The ‘Pluto Spotlight’ still seems to be on Academy Award Winners.

I see the regular TOS all day channel offered, but the movies aren’t featured in the movie channels.

In the ‘On Demand’ offerings, there’s a ‘60 years of Star Trek’ that offers TOS, TNG & Voyager as well as some documentaries as usual.

In fact, it seems that none of the movies are available on PlutoTV in Canada.

dang, that sucks. pluto is owned by Paramount Skydance so i’m not sure why they wouldn’t be able to offer it in canada.

It’s wholly owned and operated by Paramount Skydance. I’m sure they have to “pay” the parent company for tax reasons and stuff but why would that be an issue here? The content rights are all owned by the same company that owns Pluto TV. Maybe in Canda they aren’t offering it because they operate in partnership with Corus Entertainment?

Pluto Canada will have a content budget. It must pay the full market rates. The rights may also have been sold to another broadcaster for Canada.
