This was from October of last year. I was headed out to a nature preserve a few miles out of town and there is this nice spot overlooking the bay. The water had receded a few feet creating these low spots. My boy was out there showing his moves like a dancing queen. He had a great style.

I admit, this isn’t a gull friend, but this little egret has joined in on the tap dance craze!
I tried so many times to upload an animated image version, and every time, the animation got flattened in the upload. So, instead, have a peertube video!
Thank you for going through the effort, I appreciate it. They sorta do the stanky leg. Too cool. Supposedly herons do this too. I’ve only ever seen them use their beaks to agitate the water for fish.
