In one case, Beria picked up Tatiana Okunevskaya, a well-known Soviet actress, under the pretence of bringing her to perform for the Politburo. Instead he took her to his dacha, where he offered to free her father and grandmother from prison if she submitted. He then raped her, telling her, “Scream or not, it doesn’t matter”. In fact, Beria knew that Okunevskaya’s relatives had been executed months earlier. Okunevskaya was arrested shortly afterwards and sentenced to solitary confinement in the Gulag, which she survived.

The soviets executed him once he was found guilty. There was no pedophile island with all of the most well-connected people in the USSR, this is a sign of soviet accountability and justice.

Further, the evidence may not have been as airtight as the soviets thought. Beria was executed as a part of “de-Stalinization,” where Nikita Khrushchev was later found to have lied about the previous administration for his own political gain. Montefiore, famously someone who did not have access to the soviet archives, is the one true “source” of these claims. Montefiore is also a denier of Palestinian genocide and believes that Palestine is the source of all problems in the Middle East. He is also in the Epstein files.

In no case is this comparable to the Epstein files. It was one person acting alone, not a massive pedophile network, and said person was executed once found guilty. Even then, the claims of pedophilia come largely from one dedicated anti-communist propagandist that is in the Epstein files. At worst, this is an example of Khrushchev wielding political power to kill those that stood in his way, at best this is an example of genuine justice in the USSR, in neither case does this point to a systemic problem of pedophilia.
