This talk was given at a Solidarity meeting in Melbourne on 26 March 2026. The background noise in the first half of the talk was caused by an exceptionally heavy rain burst. Blame global warming.
Unfortunately this talk doesn’t have much emphasis on Australia specifically, beyond mentioning Australia’s prolonged presence in Iraq (“the last Australian troops were withdrawn from Iraq in 2024”), the large numbers in our anti-war protests at the time, and a few Australian anti-Israel actions (ZIM shipping disruption, and protests outside F-35 part factories).
