These motherfuckers could pass an omnibus bill in that amount of time that would fund the government for the next 100 years if they wanted to. But they’d rather bicker.

Sure. But if the government does shutdown, then it’s not going to be everybody’s fault. It’s going to be the “extreme” right’s fault because they’ve convincingly demonstrated that they’re willing to destroy the nation to pursue their political goal of minority rule.

Then their propaganda machine spins it into being the Democrats fault and we continue to circle the drain

Oh absolutely. They will be responsible for the shutdown, but they’re all responsible for regularly kicking this can down the road.

The Republicans don’t want to bicker. They want the American population to give up so they don’t vote. Then comes what they really want.

      Russian style government.

      Funds for military: stolen

      Funds for healthcare: stolen

      Funds for housing: stolen

      Funds for education: stolen

      Social Security: stolen

      Medicare and Medicaid: stolen

THATS what the fuckers want. It’s nice fleecing 30% of the population they want the other 69% to be just as fucked and stupid.

“Russian Style” gov is just the free market ideals of the neoliberal ideology. It was always inevitable it would be applied here.

And as usual, the shutdowns are going to end up costing us more then if they just signed off on these bills to begin with.

Congress should not be allowed to recess unless the government is fully funded for a full year or more.

Didn’t this happen like a decade ago? Didn’t it last like a month?

Didn’t the same thing happen in Australia? Didn’t the fucking Queen step in and fire everyone involved and told their replacements ‘fix it by the end of the week or we’ll run things for you’ or something to that effect?

Gosh. Sure is nice to have loving ‘parents’ of your county.
