“May I Please Enter?” is a short film that addresses topics such as housing insecurity, race, & religion. I’ve watched it several hundred times, and found a thousand+ hidden elements or meaning; the director is known for productions with these hidden layers.

I made a ‘Just Post’ recently, "I’m planning on a walking tour to the Navajo Nation in three days". There were three expectations I wanted to continue staying in the current living space, that I couldn’t tolerate otherwise. 1) a commitment to non-violence with whom I’m living with, plus an apology for previous violence. 2) a bike repair, e.g. so I can leave the apartment more freely. 3) A Linux laptop replaced that was previously destroyed in violence. (1) has been met, and (2) the bike is currently being repaired. I’m still requesting the laptop be replaced (in the least, a commitment that one will be ordered in the upcoming days; the current laptop is damaged and often crashes with just a single internet tab open trying to send an email). As an incentive for this, I promise to create a close-reading (something on the scale of a 20-ish page essay) within a week, from the perspective of a furry-bodhisattva. The living space has been an active refuge for many animals that may be harmed if I leave; also, I’m tired of having to re-establish living spaces because people can’t refrain from violence toward me or know how to communicate civilly. I’ve done hundreds of close-readings (poetry, art, movies) before; am experienced & capable. I’m planning on starting the walking tour tonight otherwise; have walked several thousand miles the past few years without other unforced option, and am used to living outside.

Maybe there could be a joint effort of strangers online helping, plus those within my family, to fund the laptop replacement. The person who destroyed it is regarded by himself & others to have mental illness with emotional volatility, and is also currently dependent on me.
