Still anxiously waiting to hear about my internal move. My colleague who applied as well and didn’t get to “reference check” stage like I did had a meeting yesterday to explain why she didn’t get the role. Apparently there were 4 positions and over 200 applicants, internal and external. Hoping tomorrow maybe I hear I got it? Maybe the next day? After every break from my computer I’m expecting an email or teams msg scheduling me for a meeting but stillllll waiting

I kept looking at my new wooden spoons thinking “I’m pretty sure you should oil those”. Went down a rabbit hole and discovered yes you should with food grade oil and not cooking oil. Well, I don’t have any. Wait. Yes I do because I moved it the other day. Chopping board oil! Yes! They’re gonna get a nice bath then I’m gonna lube them up.

They don’t talk about the little things in the book of Adult when you turn 18.

Why does the police helicopter make so much noise when all the other helicopters fly so quietly?

Doing pharmacy roulette today trying to find prescribed medication in stock. Chemist Warehouse made me wait a good 20 minutes just to tell me no stock. Went to two other places, no stock or about to expire. Finally lucked out and found it on the 4th attempt. Waiting in busy pharmacies just triggers a stress response in me.

Would you like some stuff related to that? Most of the paints and glues may have dried up being over 10 years old but the Green Stuff brushes and tools should be fine (and maybe the washes)

Just let me know if you have an address or PO Box you want it posted to

My stomach hasn’t been 100% but I’m at least doing a morning in the office because I have an open IT ticket.

ALT+TAB on my computer has stopped working properly. That’s not the sort of thing I thought could break. And you know what IT departments are like, if you can’t do things to their schedule they’ll just close the ticket

It gets weirder. ALT+TAB works on the admin account on my PC but not my user account I do everything in.

not tabbing or not showing all windows?

they fucked with it on win 11 now it’s a “multitasking” option in fucking settings. Probably clashed with a GPO if admin can run it but not user.

It’s not showing the overlay of all windows and ALT+TAB only cycles in one direction, not alternating between most recently used windows. I can use it in the same way if I use ALT+TAB then ALT+SHIFT+TAB, but I need to remember which window is the regular and which is the SHIFT window.

I’m not sure if the multitasking settings will help, I’ve looked there and tinkered with the options and nothing has made a difference. The only thing I use multitasking for is turning off that annoying feature where Edge tabs come up in your ALT+TAB options

god I hate this dog sneeze of an OS.

it could also be peek settings, but it’s definitely windows trying to be a smartarse clashing with a GPO if this is a work machine an admin can do it but your login can’t

seems there is a new covid variant on the loose, explains all the cardiac symptoms people are getting 😠

I suspected it when I had palpitations and worse symptoms at night

I am going to rest some more.
