I’m not sure I quite understand this one. At most, this and the KyoAni attack are only tangentially related, I would think.
Unforeseen circumstances? I wonder if this is related to the currently ongoing legal case against the guy who alleges Kyoto stole his story? I can only think that or some rights issue would cause this, sibce it seems it only effects the UK though?

Yes, he’s the guy that alleges his story was stolen, which was the motive for the attack.
