Sorry for the late post. I had a busy 6th of September, one of our national holidays. There was some work to do at home and I almost died so I totally forgot about the weekly thread. Ah well, better late than never!

Have you progressed on your WIPs? How has your week been?

I was so busy yesterday I forgot to post here! Prince Vegeta is slowly coming together, however I ran out of black and the new black I got eneded up being a thicker thread that makes part of his hair look darker, so I’m not sure what to do about that lol

I saw it after you mentioned it. When something like this happens to me I usually frog it 🐸. I just can’t unsee it and it annoys me, ruining the experience. If that isn’t you, leave it be. Otherwise, go with your gut and your inner 🐸. Also make sure you get the same batch of black if this skein isn’t enough.

It irritates me for sure, but not enough to start all the way over lol

This was definitely bad management on my part, I did not realize just how much black I was going to need for this and ran out. The black I started with was part of a multipack that I really didn’t need to buy again so I tried to match it as best I as I could. Since it’s just the black section that is mismatched I may try to fix it with a sharpie once I’m done

I love how casually you’re just like “yeah imma draw on it”. That’s the kind of resourcefulness I both admire and also try and shamefully hide when I do it myself.

Another possibility might be that, assuming you stitched with two threads, maybe adding a third thread on the top leg of the less cover-y stitches might be enough to blend them in? Just a thought. I’m sure colouring it in with pen will also work 😂

It’s a habit I picked up in art school lol! Very often you would notice some small flaw and hour before a project was due so you use whatever is on hand to fix it quick!

I am taking a week off the Greenhouse. Nevertheless I finished the corpse flower!

Also I have a new WIP - a kit that I got from a Babushka in Sofia for like 5€. It’s made of polyester and is surprisingly nice to work with.

Was about to yell at you for being so fast but then I realised the pattern is printed on the fabric and not already all stitched up. Yeah I’m fractious today 😅

Yeah I had a thing for stamped kits. That’s how I got into the hobby in the first place. Nowadays I prefer the traditional method but this felt like a cheap treat so I got it on impulse!

I’ve never actually tried one but they do seem like they’d be a really good shout for those times when you want to stitch and not think.

The cat reminds me of Garfield lol! I would be tempted to try to add a title to the book

Didn’t get time for much recreational stitching this week, until quite late last night. So a day late thread works great for me :D

I got back to work on this Ocean Wonder kit, after thinking I’d get it all done on holiday and then actually doing maybe 50 stitches that whole week. Sometimes a project is just bigger than it looks! 😅

Did most of the whale during a LotR marathon a couple of weeks ago and now I’ve made some solid progress on the dolphin too, those are by far the two biggest bits so after that it should be plain sailing!

Yeah…I had a bad slip when climbing down stairs. Almost hit my head. I got out with a bruised arm that saved me. I’m fine, just a bit shaken!

Oof! Somehow I totally glossed over that part in the OP, glad someone was paying attention. And glad you’re ok!
