    A man on meth and fentanyl was aggressively resisting arrest and was a danger. Tazed, beaten, forced to ground, he suffered a heart attack. How much of a factor were the drugs, were the scenario, and were the cops’ actions?

    My first instinct was distrust of the cops, but it seems like there is more nuance here. Regardless, there has to be a better way in dealing with chemically-altered aggression (meth, pcp, fentanyl, etc.) other than continued use of escalating force.

      Yes. And we need an independent committee for investigations into deaths where police are actively involved. It’s absurd that they can just investigate themselves and draw any conclusion that benefits them.

      I feel like a netgun or something is the right tool for this.

      If the dude is high on drugs and deranged, take the violence and risk to others out of the picture.
