    Perfect sales scenario. They can sell you the extra wire and, if anyone gets mad, they can blame the EU for forcing the change. So even though they COULD include a charging brick in the box, they don’t and have an easy bad guy to point to.

    Lightning cables are still used for magic mice or the trackpad.

    Also, similar reminder they had to give when they removed the 3.5mm port.

    Looking forward to the lightning to usb connector I’m sure someone will sell. No reason to throw it away.

    It would also be smart for a third party to sell a qi/MagSafe charger with a lightning port.
