This is the best summary I could come up with:

In 2018, for example, Wisconsin voters put Tony Evers, a Democrat, in the governor’s mansion, sweeping the incumbent, Scott Walker, out of office.

Almost immediately, Wisconsin Republicans introduced legislation to weaken the state’s executive branch, curbing the authority that Walker had exercised as governor.

If she won, Protasiewicz would break the conservative majority on the court, giving liberal justices an opportunity to shape the state’s legal landscape until at least the next judicial election cycle.

“Republicans in Wisconsin are coalescing around the prospect of impeaching a newly seated liberal justice on the state’s Supreme Court,” my newsroom colleague Reid J. Epstein reports.

“The push, just five weeks after Justice Janet Protasiewicz joined the court and before she has heard a single case, serves as a last-ditch effort to stop the new 4-to-3 liberal majority from throwing out Republican-drawn state legislative maps and legalizing abortion in Wisconsin.”

With these majorities, they can limit the reach and power of any Democrat elected to statewide office and remove — or neutralize — any justice who might rule against the gerrymander.

The original article contains 1,136 words, the summary contains 177 words. Saved 84%. I’m a bot and I’m open source!

Thank you I think time for the Federal government to step in. You know what I been thinking and know it nuts but sick of hearing states rights and its up to the states to decide.

If we are going be the "United " states of America it time to Have a national voting system and fuck the maps. No more bullshit gerrymandering which I think should be flat out made illegal.

Majority rule voting or rank first.

It would end this kind of bullshit for good and Republicans would have to actually start doing good things our never get elected again.

The electoral college has to go. It’s how Trump tried to steal 2020, and how a minority party can continue winning “fair” elections.
